Five hundred years ago, when Columbus sailed to America, in the deep medieval times, Youghal was the main port in Ireland and second only to Bristol to these Islands. Dublin was third, Liverpool and London about sixth place.
Now Youghal is the main road across Ireland runs and a liitle, typical ireland town, where many people come only for the beaches and entertainment.
